David C. Sibberson, Sr.

David C. "Dave" Sibberson, Sr., age 73, of Toledo, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. He was born on April 18, 1940 to Fred and Freida (Yohnke) Sibberson in Toledo. Dave worked for over 40 years at Doral Steel. When he wasn't working, he looked forward to time on the golf course, trips to the casino, camping with kids and grandchildren, playing dart ball and umpiring youth baseball.

He is survived by his children, David Jr. (Theresa), Diane Pym and Dennis; grandchildren, Jennifer (Nic) Pyka, Kristen Pym, Joel (Nicki) Pym and Lindsey Sibberson; siblings, Donna Kalmbach, Dorothy (Eldon) Gullett, Melvin (Pat) Sibberson, Robert (Bonnie) Sibberson, Frank (Darlene) Sibberson and Raymond (Diana) Sibberson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sibberson, who passed away on January 2, 2011; sister, Alice Foreman and brother, Terry Sibberson.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Eric Markovich officiating. Procession to Restlawn Memorial Park in Perrysburg will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family and sent in c/o the funeral home.
