David C. "Dave" Dimmer, age 50, of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 30, 2015. He was born on November 18, 1965 to Dave and Sharon (Frisk) Dimmer in Toledo.
Dave was a St. Francis de Sales graduate and received his Master's Degree from the University of Toledo. Recently he worked for Dana Corp. in Corporate Communications. Prior to that Dave worked for five years for M.T.S. in Temperance in the marketing department. David was the Past Board President of N.W.O. Alzheimer's Association, recently served on committees for the Toledo Zoo as well as Toledo Museum of Art. He was a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church and currently served as the Vice President of the Church Council. Dave was an avid animal lover and often volunteered for Planned Pethood in Toledo.
Dave had a great sense of humor and was adored by all his nieces and nephews. One of his most favorite times spent is his dinner outings and traveling with his wife, especially to Hopetown, Bahama's. In his spare time he enjoyed sailing and spending time at the lake with his family.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Kelly (Shultz) Dimmer; father, Dave Dimmer; siblings, Karen (Pete) Gerrity, Linda (Brooke) Steingass, Jim Dimmer, Charlie Dimmer and Bill (Amanda) Dimmer; father and mother in law, Bill (Barbara) Shultz; sister in law, Amy (David) Lange; brothers in law, Joshua (Jennifer) Shultz and Joseph (Tiffany) Shultz; best friend, Chris Wonders; loyal furry friends, Henry and Georgia; many endearing nieces and nephews; cousins and a host of dear friends. Preceding him in death is his mother, Sharon Dimmer and maternal grandmother, June Frisk.
The family will receive guests on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin in the church at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at St. Petri Lutheran Church, 3120 S. Byrne Rd., Toledo, Ohio with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Inurnment will be private in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park for immediate family.
Memorial Contributions may be designated to N.W.O. Alzheimer's Assoc. or to St. Petri Lutheran Church in David's memory.
