David N. Blankenstein

David N. "Dave" Blankenstein, age 68, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Ebeid Hospice Residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 7, 1950 to William and Beverly (McLean) Blankenstein in Toledo. Dave was an avid guitar player, and loved music. He was an animal lover, always having a dog and cats. Dave loved family get-togethers, cook-outs, and spending time with friends and family. He loved nothing more than spoiling his grandchildren, who he was very fond of. Dave's smile, sense of humor and dirty jokes will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Joshua Lederer; best friends and bandmates, Denny and Ron "Gino". Dave is survived by his loving daughter, Nicole (Chris) Bores; grandchildren, Shaun, Katie, Emily and Lilly; sister, Deb (Jim) Lederer; nephew, Nick (Nicki) Lederer and their children, Joshua and Ashton; best friend, Darryl Smith; and many other dear friends.

A Celebration of Life to honor Dave will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 1 – 5:00 p.m. at his daughter Nicole's home, please call or text her for more information (419-480-9825). Newcomer – West Sylvania Chapel (419-392-9500) assisted the family with professional services.
