David James Benadum

David James "Mr. Dave" Benadum, 68, of Maumee, passed away on January 20, 2025 at University Hospital of Cleveland. He was born on January 17, 1957 to Meredith and Gloria (Jakcsy) Benadum in Toledo, OH. 

Dave was the owner of Ottawa Park Automotive and a mechanic by trade. He was a member of Ottawa River Yacht Club, Sylvania Chamber of Commerce and played hockey for Sylvania Area Senior Hockey League. He was an avid Red Wings and Ohio State Buckeye Fan. He enjoyed camping, boating, and playing golf with the family. Mr. Dave had a great sense of humor. Always joking around and having fun. 

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; daughters, Christine (Todd) Tucker and Paula (Christopher) Forrey; grandchildren, Christopher (Caitlin) Forrey, Nicholas Tucker, Aundrea Forrey, Abigail Tucker; great grandchildren, Ryan and Katherine; sisters, Sally Jankowski and Debbie (John) Stewart. He was preceded in death by his father, Meredith Benadum; mother, Gloria Ann Hall; brothers, Meredith Benadum Jr. and Thomas Benadum; and step father, Robert Hall.

 A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, South Chapel.
