Darnell Williams

Darnell D. Williams, age 41, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at the Toledo Hospital. He was born on July 16, 1964 to Albert and Frances (Johnson) Williams, Jr. in Toledo. Darnell was employed with Bax Global, retiring in 2005. Darnell was a huge sports fan, especially having a strong passion for the Pittsburg Steelers. Darnell was a longtime member of the Indiana Ave. Baptist Church. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Collette Williams, on Dec. 19, 2005.
He is survived by his step-children: Rosalyn, Victoria and Andre; mother: Frances Williams; brothers: Darrell, Derrick and Steven Williams; grandmothers: Bettie Franklin and Ida B. Turner; father and mother-in-law: Elder Wilbur (Joyce) Turner; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Monday, March 20, 2006 at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. John E. Roberts. Interment will follow in Forest Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff on the 7th floor, CCU, at the Toledo Hospital and to the Wildwood Dialysis Center for all of their loving care and support.
