Darlene A. Wood, age 85, of Sylvania, Ohio formerly of AuTrain, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.
Darlene was born on August 24, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan and had lived as the wife of Joel M. Wood, a late Lieutenant for the Michigan State Police.
Darlene was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte, Michigan in 1954. Later on in life, She went to nursing school and became and LPN in 1983. After the passing of her husband, Lieutenant Wood, Darlene relocated to Farmington, Illinois. She became employed at a local nursing home for a number of years.
Left to cherish Darlene's memory are her sons, Michael (Mary Ann) Dloughy and Joel Wood; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Lieutenant Joel M. Wood; sons, Mark Dloughy, Ben and Doug Wood; parents, Charles and Carol (Ernst) Dow.
