Darlene Vanklingeren

Darlene N. VanKlingeren, age 62, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at The Toledo Hospital, in Toledo, Ohio. She was born on August 2, 1947 to Donald and Marion (Bond) Klicko in Detroit, Michigan. In 1965 she graduated from Melvindale High School. Darlene was a loving wife, a best friend and a loyal companion throughout the 42 years she was married to Christian VanKlingeren. She was a devoted mother in the care of her children and grandchildren. Her professional career extended 25 years at law offices and as a court reporter in Lucas County Probate Court.

She is survived by her loving husband Bill; children, William, Brian (Jennifer) and Robert (Missy); grandchildren, Emma, Tyler, Lauren, Ian, and Alexis; brother, Donald Klicko Jr.; sisters, Debbie Klicko and Denise Blair; many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents.

The family will receive guests Friday, 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at New Apostolic Church, 432 Gorham St., Morenci, MI 49256. Interment will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their special thanks to the Bedford Fire Department and the emergency staff of The Toledo Hospital for their professionalism and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to, Bedford Fire Department or Whiteford Fire Department.
