Darlene M. Klar

Darlene M. "Dolly" Klar, age 73, of Maumee, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 30, 2013 at home surrounded by loving family. She was born on October 25, 1939 to G.W. "Bill" and Orpha (Cline) Harris in San Diego, California. Dolly was employed with JCPenney's in the catalog department for many years and then was a package sorter with UPS for over 22 years before retiring. She was an avid reader, loved to knit and cook. Dolly used to raise and show Great Dane's for many years. She loved nothing more than the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Dolly will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ordell A. "Dell" Klar, Jr.; brothers, William Wayne and Charles Edward Harris; and sister-in-law, Kay Quigley. Dolly is survived by her loving children, Michael (Toni) Klar, Dale Lynn Klar and Deborah M. Jacques; grandchildren, Amanda, George, Erin (Rocky), Jarred, Tasha (Tyler), Matthew and Matt; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Braelyn, Logan, Carson and Jaxon; sisters, LeeAnn (Al) Obst, Diane Romano and Barbara (Tom) Miller; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
