Darlene Ann Black

Darlene Ann Black, affectionately known as "Aunt Dar", 63, passed away on November 3, 2012. She was born on October 17, 1949 to the late Rose Marie Shadday and Wellington Langley in Toledo, Ohio.
Darlene retired as a bus driver from Lucas County MRDD after 17 years of service. She also worked at the Rip Cord for several years as a Bar Maid. Darlene was an animal lover and adored her many pets. Her family and friends will especially miss her wonderful sense of humor, Darlene always had everyone laughing. She was also proud of the cannas lilies she grew every year.
In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, James Black. Left to cherish her memory is her boyfriend, Mark Porter; sisters, Beverly Rose and Kitty (Brian) Spradlin; niece, Ann (Charles) Kruse and their children, Charles, Michael and Trevor; nephew, Jeffrey (Jenny) Rose and their children, Justin, Ryan and Autumn and many other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, November 10 from 4-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). "Sharing of Memories" will begin at 6:00 p.m.
