Daniel L. Reese

Daniel L. "Danny" Reese, age 60, a lifelong resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at his home. He was born August 3, 1960 in Toledo to William and Opal "Lucy" (Wingfield) Reese. Danny attended Whitmer High School, Class of '78. After high school he became self-employed in the Flooring industry for more than 35 years.

Danny loved fishing, bowling and Nascar, declaring Rusty Wallace his favorite. He was also a sports enthusiast playing with several recreational softball leagues in his younger years. Danny was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Ohio State Buckeyes and the Detroit Tigers.

Danny was a fun outgoing person with a quick wit and a sarcastic streak bringing those around him to big grins and laughter. He will also be remembered for the way he cared about others showing kindness and support to those in need. He gave of himself from his heart in so many ways never expecting anything in return. Danny lived his life as a man of faith finding meaning and direction in the words he read in his Bible every day. He made a difference in the lives of the people he loved.

In addition to his parents, Danny was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Ray Kramer; brother, Donny Reese; sister, Judy Reese and in-laws, George Gill and Jeannette Reese.

Danny is survived by his loving siblings, Bill (Donna) Reese, Dodi Gill, Vera (John) Hoffman, Verna (Marty) Schmenk and Sandi (Scott) Hedden; Also left to cherish his memory are many dear nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

There will be a Service followed by a Celebration of Life to remember Danny on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at The Assembly of Christians Church, 3619 West Sterns Rd. Lambertville, Michigan. Please come and share a story.
