Daniel John Neshkoff

August 2, 1926 — May 19, 2017

Daniel John Neshkoff, 90, passed away peacefully Friday, May 18, 2017 at Aspen Grove Assisted Living, Lambertville, Michigan with his wife Jean and daughter, Beverly by his bedside. He was born August 2, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Frances Neshkoff. Danny was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII. He was part of the 52nd Field Artillery Battalion in the Philippines and Japan. He married Jean Kern in 1949. Danny worked at the New York Central Railroad learning the blacksmith trade from his father. Danny also worked at the Plaskon Division of LOF, Mather Spring Company; where he was their master blacksmith and then went on to retire from the University of Toledo in 1989 from the maintenance department. He enjoyed woodworking; specializing in making rocking horses. Danny was a longtime member of the Boulevard Church of Christ, Sylvania, serving as Deacon and Chairman of Trustees.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Jean; daughters, Beverly (Arthur) Mowrer, of Temperance, MI and Marilyn (Brian) Shipman, of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Zachary Mowrer and Jaquelyn (Deckard) Mowrer-Stanger; and sister, Lois Neshkoff Berkowitz, of Riverview, MI. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

There will be no visitation for Danny and Graveside Services will be Private. The Newcomer Funeral Home – NW Chapel (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
