Daniel L. Borowski

Daniel L. Borowski, age 54, of Toledo passed away on October 1, 2014 surrounded by his loving family, peacefully in his home. He was born in Toledo on October 9, 1959 to Eugene and Norma (Cox) Borowski. Dan was a graduate of Whitmer High School class of 1977. After graduation he worked at Gladieux for seven years. Following that, Dan went on to work at the Toledo Jeep plant for over thirty years. Dan was a wonderful son, husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family.

Dan enjoyed spending time with his friends playing Texas Hold'em and he wasn't too bad at Blackjack either! He also enjoyed bowling, gardening, fishing, and watching movies with his wife. Dan also enjoyed traveling with his family, his favorite place being Las Vegas.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Sheila, of twelve years, mother Norma Borowski, son Travis Borowski, daughters Jennie Bogert and Lisa (Ryan) Galovics, grandchildren Kiersten Galovics, Brooke and Joseph Bogert, brother Terry (Michelle) Borowski, mother-in-law Patt Wonser, along with his nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dan is preceded in death by his father Eugene and father-in-law Norman Wonser.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers at Hospice of Northwest Ohio and the Toledo Fire Department.

The family will receive guests Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 6:00 pm. in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Daniel's memory.
