Daniel Mark Johns, age 76, of Maumee, OH passed away August 12, 2021 at Wood County Hospital. He was born December 19, 1944 in Mount Clemens, MI to Russell and Gloria Johns. Dan served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He attended Central Michigan University and graduated with his Bachelor's Degree from Northwood Institute.
Dan began his career with Lionel Trains, serving in various marketing and product development and leadership positions over 23 years. Dan continued his career as President of Craft House Corporation, then founded and led Chardan Corporation in Byran, OH until his retirement in 2014.
Dan avidly golfed with a large cadre of friends, and enjoyed woodworking and restoring classic cars.
Dan is survived by his wife of 33 years, Charlotte L. (Hamel) Johns; children, Susan (Jamin) Hillwig, Kenneth Johns, Thomas (Ita) Thrasher, Susan (George) Moilanen and Matthew (April) Thrasher; grandchildren, Joseph Goulet, Tim Moilanen, Katherine Moilanen, Barry Thrasher, James Thrasher, Ashley Reed and Sophia Thrasher; great-grandson, Layne Reed; and brother, William (Barbara) Johns.
A Celebration of Dan's Life will be held at a later date.
