Daniel Edward Kozlowski, age 64, of Swanton, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. He was born in Toledo on November 25, 1947 to Edward and Florence (Nutter) Kozlowski, who preceded him in death. Daniel was a graduate of Woodward High School, Class of 1965. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force with honor during the Vietnam Conflict. Daniel was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Barton Smith Lodge #613. He enjoyed flying his plane, riding motorcycles and visiting Las Vegas. He served his electrical apprenticeship at Doehler-Jarvis and went on to work for Chrysler/Jeep. Daniel retired from Chrysler/Jeep Paint Facility after 30 years of service where he designed and instructed the robotics programs and also worked as an electrician. His retirement was very brief and shortly after retirement he went back to work for Chrysler in a different division.
He is survived by his loving children, Danielle (Robert) Hyott and Christopher (Christina) Kozlowski; grandchildren, Trent, Tyler and Alana Hyott and Caleb Kozlowski; brothers, Eugene (Andrea) Kozlowski and Leroy (Sherry) Kozlowski; loving partner, Carlene Strong and best friends, Sam Dahar and Fred Waibel.
The family will receive guests on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. followed by Military Services provided by the Lucas County Veterans Burial Corp.
