Daniel William "Paul" Dunlap, age 60, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Regency Hospital of Toledo. He was born August 17, 1960 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Dennis and Cloyce (Davis) Dunlap. Paul moved to the Toledo area many years ago to be with the love of his life, Sally. They married in 1995. He was an over the road truck driver traveling all over the United States with his wife by his side. They enjoyed visiting family and friends during their trips. Paul started in the trucking industry on his own and later joined Filmor Express, in total he drove for more than 20 years. He was also a US Army Veteran serving his country proudly in the 101st Airborne Division.
Paul was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and a newer member of First Christian Church in Sylvania. He was a loving husband and son and friend to many.
In addition to his mother, Cloyce, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Tim. Paul is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sally J. (McIlrath) Dunlap; father & stepmother, Dennis and Harriett Dunlap of Lakewood, WA; stepsister, Cathy Ruffner of CA; mother-in-law, Joanne McIlrath of Toledo, dear friend, Jim Nofzinger and many other friends throughout the country.
The family will receive guests Monday, January 4, 2021 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at Newcomer SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-391-1900). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 1:00 pm. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Ernie Unholz. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park where Military Services will be conducted.
