Daniel F. Drzewiecki

Daniel F. Drzewiecki, age 88, of Toledo, passed away February 18, 2025 at Foundation Park Alzheimer's Care Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 14, 1936 in Toledo to Anthony and Sophie (Kucharski) Drzewiecki. Dan honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1959-1963. While serving in the military, Dan worked as a Telecommunications Technician. He was able to utilize those skills in his 42 year career at Ohio Bell until his retirement. Dan was an accomplished self taught pianist, he would play anything, anytime, anywhere for anyone given the chance, he even composed his own music. He had a "green thumb" and was a member of the Toledo Rose Society where he received many accolades. Dan was also a member of the Ohio Bell Pioneers, The Community Singers, Toledo Area Aboriginal Research Society and a parishioner of Little Flower Parish in Toledo, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Dan was also preceded in death by his son, Tony Drzewiecki. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joan (Hahn) Drzewiecki; children, Susan (Hans) Freisheim, David (Kathleen) Drzewiecki and Norman (Kathy) Drzewiecki; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). The family will also receive guests Monday, February 24, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Little Flower Church, 5522 Dorr Street, Toledo, OH. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or Little Flower Church in Dan's memory.
