Daniel A. Labiak, age 90, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012 in the Regency Hospital of Toledo. He was born March 5, 1922 in Toledo to Lawrence and Anna Labiak. Dan served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Sergeant during WWII. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years and retired as a supervisor. He was an Apprentice electrician and enjoyed woodworking. Dan was an avid golfer, working for several years at South Toledo Golf Course. He also enjoyed fishing and bowling. Dan and his wife, Bernice loved to dance and travel.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, of 47 years, Bernice (Fate) Labiak; children, Connie (Ted) Hallock-Bienko, Judy Labiak and Chris Labiak; grandchildren, Amy (Eric) Palmer, Lisa Evans, Rachel Hallock and Dominic Kallil; great grandchildren, Preston Evans, Isabel and Sophia Palmer; sister, Sr. Mary Avila and special stepson, David (Virginia) Forest.
In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his sisters, Martha Zachman and Sr. Mary Noel.
Funeral Services will be private.
