Dana E. Lacourse

Dana E. "Butch" "Poodle" LaCourse, age 61, of Curtice, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at St. Charles Mercy Medical Center. He was born June 17, 1948 to Robert and Loretta LaCourse in Toledo. Dana graduated from Macomber High School in 1967 where he wrestled and played football. He retired from the city of Toledo after many years of service. Dana was an outdoorsman, often enjoying fishing, hunting and golfing. He was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes for many years. Dana always looked forward to the games and tailgating. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta, sister, Denise and nephew, Matthew. Dana is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Wendy and their daughter, Lindsey; 3 children with his previous wife, Georgianne Donaldson; Vicki, David (Maria) and Lisa; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; father, Robert LaCourse; brother, Randy; sister, Debbie (Carlos); many nieces and nephews; and many dear and special longtime friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday from 1 – 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider the family.
