Dan was born November 11, 1948 in Flint, MI to Arthur and Betty (Hayward) Whitman. He was employed with Great Lakes Corrugated and Toledo Driving School. He was also a member of the Zenobia Shrine and life member of the Free and Accepted Masons Samaria Lodge #438. He loved deer hunting, Michigan Football, NASCAR and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Kim J. Whitman, daughter, Melissa L. (Cory) Pershing, brother, Jack (Darlene) Whitman, sister, Sandy Behlem, grandsons, Carson and Xander Pershing.
The family will receive guests Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Newcomer - West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Road (419-392-9500). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 12:00 pm. at the funeral home followed by burial at Toledo Memorial Park.
