Damien J. Spearman

July 29, 1978 — June 5, 2021

Damien Jawhan Spearman was a warrior from birth, he thrived despite being born 4 ½ months early at 1.5 pounds on July 29, 1978, to Nathaniel and Brenda (Spearman) Walton. He made his transition from this life on Saturday, June 5, 2021.
Damien was a natural born leader. He was strong-hearted and kind. He took the charge of big brother and mentor, inspiring those he loved and knew. He was wise beyond his years. Everybody loved him and loved to be around him. He was a hard worker, holding various positions in the warehouse and construction fields. His thirst for knowledge led him to pursue and obtain his associate degree from Owens State Community College. Damien graduated July 2013 from the School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics completing all course requirements for GTAW, SMAW, and GMAW Welding Certifications.

Damien was truly a light in this world. He was fun-loving, charming, caring, compassionate, and encouraging. Above all he was dedicated and devoted to those he loved. He enjoyed spending all of his free time with his family. Damien doted on his loved ones. He had a way of making them feel special and unique. He was the best "corner man." Being with family brought him joy. He liked to cook for his family. Spaghetti was one of his favorite foods. He wore his feelings on his sleeve. Damien would often express his concern for loved ones, asking if they had eaten and always offering to bring food—his treat.
Damien left a lasting impression on so many. He was a hilarious jokester, always making those around him smile and laugh. He was just the coolest, funniest, unpredictable person who did not fit a certain mold. Damien was a dreamer, full of hope, aspirations, and imparted that on others. He was a sports fanatic and a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan.

Damien was preceded in death by grandparents Clarence "OC" Spearman, Wardine Spearman, James "Bo" Walton, and Idella Wells; uncles Samuel and Dennis Walton, Greg and Ozzie Spearman; Aunt Jacquelyn Luckett, and Cousin James "PT" Young.

Damien leaves to cherish his memory: his parents Nathaniel and Brenda Walton; his children Damien Spearman, De'Yondre Rivers, De'Asya Spearman, De'Yontae Spearman, Da'Nyia Spearman, and Jerome Young; stepson Dre'Yonte Rivers; granddaughter Naava Spearman; his siblings Nathaniel Brown, Trishan L. Brown, Terrence I. Walton, Sarita B. Walton, Romen A. Walton, Makayla Walton, and Nathan Allen; fiancée Serenity Young; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and mother of his four beautiful children Cebrena Rivers.
