Dale W. Miller, age 77, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the Toledo Hospital in the arms of his loving wife. He was born on November 9, 1929 to Sherman and Margaret (Stein) Miller in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania. Dale was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was self-employed as a tile setter for many years and then went on to be a LBA truck driver for 15 years. Dale was an avid gardener and enjoyed sitting outside bird watching with his wife. He loved watching football, especially the Detroit Lions and the Pittsburg Steelers. Dale loved nothing more than spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ken Miller. Dale is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, May Belle "Mazie" (Pritts) Miller; daughters: Sharon (Ron) Hoffman, Barbara (Dave) Mocek and Carol (David) Evans; grandchildren: Kathy (Rob) Emmel, Jennifer (Karl) Alagna, Randal (Kim) Hoffman, David (Angela) Page, Dale Mocek, David (Jennifer), Shaun (Jamalica), Corey (Mindy) and Christopher (Melissa) Evans; great-grandchildren: Kate & Sarah Emmel, Alli, Megan & Michael Alagna, Kylie & Thomas Hoffman, Jude R. Page Maguire, Brittany Page, Tim & Kayleigh Belcher, Anastacia, Cameron & Emileigh Page, Caleb & Tyler Evans; brothers: Jim (Roberta), Wayne (Clara) and Ron (Almeda) Miller; sister: Bonnie (Mike) Nelson; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, July 29, 2007 at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) from 2 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
