Dale B. Hertia

Dale B. Hertia (nee Cockrell), resident of Toledo, OH, passed away on April 6, 2023. Daughter of the late Charlie and Bertie (nee Brewer) Cockrell. Sister of Linda (the late Richard) Zeccola and Jill (the late John) Sickman. Aunt of Drew (Dawn) Arns and Amy (Bill) Biscoff. Great aunt of Lindsey Arns, Brandon Biscoff and Brian Biscoff.

Dale was known for her beauty, inside and out. She worked as a stewardess in the 1960's, for United Airlines at the O'Hare airport. During her time working for the airline, she went to Vietnam during the Vietnam War and gave her efforts for some humanitarian work overseas. She modeled professionally in the Dayton area, and also attended beauty pageants. Dale and her siblings grew up in Meridian, Mississippi, where their father served in the United States Air Force, and eventually, they placed their roots in Ohio. Dale will be greatly missed by her family members and friends.

Dale's family would like to give special thanks to Foundation Park and First Health Hospice Care for their great care. She was local celebrity there, and promised to take everyone on a European Christmas shopping trip!
