Cynthia Sue Pohorecki

Cynthia Sue Pohorecki, age 61, a lifelong resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. She was born September 9, 1959 in Toledo to Paul and Nancy (Heck) Estes. Cynthia graduated from Springfield High School in 1977 and went onto attend the University of Toledo where she earned her Bachelor's Degree. She was an Assistant Teacher for many years, serving in Monroe Michigan at the former Lincoln School. She was also active with Toledo Public Schools through WSOS and most recently at Bennett Venture Academy. Prior to her career in Education, Cynthia traveled all over training many students becoming Beauticians. Cynthia met and married her husband, Dennis on August 19, 1995.

Together Cynthia and Dennis enjoyed the outdoors and spent years camping with family and friends. They traveled to many beautiful areas throughout Michigan and Ohio enjoying swimming, tubing and jet skis and of course ending each day with a campfire sharing the day's experiences and laughs. Good times were had by all during these adventures. Cynthia also had a "green thumb" and was known for the beautiful gardens she tended to season after season. In addition to enjoying the outdoors, Cynthia also loved to play pool and was known for her billiard skills. Cynthia also spent many hours crocheting and embroidering, often gifting her creations to special people in her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Cynthia is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Dennis Pohorecki; brother, Cameron Estes and in-laws, Stefan and Ellen Pohorecki.

The family will receive guests Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 10 am - 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) where a Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 pm. Officiating will be Pastor Roy Southerland.
