Cora L. Semler, age 66, of Sylvania Twp., passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at the Flower Hospital. She was born on August 28, 1940 to Harold and Eleanor Marie (Studer) Meeks in Toledo. Cora was a graduate of Whitmer High School and a proud member of Beta Sigma Phi. Cora was employed as a Clerk II with the Department of Job and Family Services for many years until retiring in December of 1998. Cora was a loving wonderful mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her father, Donald Conrad, she was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Conrad. Cora is survived by her loving children: Ronald M. Semler, Theresa K. (Rodney) Tussing and Brandy (Robert Kinney) Semler; grandchildren: Raymond Miller, Brandon Semler, David, Doreen and Sarah Tussing; mother: Marie Conrad; longtime loving friends: Patricia Whaley and Linda Hamilton; sisters: Katherine Chaney and LaDonna Dalrymple; brother: Larry (Denise) Conrad; and many other loving family members.
The family will receive guests on Friday, December 22, 2006 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., (419-473-0300) from 2 – 8:00 p.m. with Beta Sigma Phi services beginning at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will take place Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
