Constance (Nino) Carrillo, age 80, of Toledo, passed away peacefully in her home on May 2, 2020. Connie was born June 25, 1939 in Toledo to Jessie and Helen (Disher) Nino. She attended Swanton High School for three years and graduated with the first graduating class of Rogers High School on May 29, 1957. She then married and later divorced and continued to raise seven children. After her children were grown and on their own she went back to school and obtained an Associates Degree graduating from Stautzenberger College on June 12, 1988. Connie had a career in food services, working at Foodtown and Kroger until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing bingo and she was an avid reader, who would say she could lose herself in a book and be somewhere else in a minute, she said she traveled around the world twice without leaving her home. She will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Connie was also preceded in death by her daughter; Cheryl Torres, granddaughter; Connie Carrillo, great-grandson Angelo Garza; sister; Rita Villegas, brother; Jessie Nino Jr., two infant great-grandsons, an infant great-granddaughter, an infant great-great-grandson and an infant great-great-granddaughter. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Tony (Janie) Carrillo, Mike Carrillo, Chris (Sharon) Carrillo, Daniel (Theresa) Carrillo, Cathi Carrillo and Tom (Brenda) Carrillo, brother; Mike (Pene) Nino, 24 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, along with her special Aunt Eva and cousin Sandy and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to the current environment surrounding the Coronavirus, services for Connie will be private. She will be buried at Resurrection Cemetery.
