Conley E. Adams, age 62 of Waterville, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011. He was born February 27, 1949 to Jess and Lenora (Davenport) Adams in Jellico, Tennessee. Conley was a 1967 graduate of Woodward High School and he proudly served in the U. S. Air Force from 1968 – 1972, where he was stationed in Ramstein, Germany. He was a Master Tradesman at Libbey Glass from 1967 until his retirement in 2004. To keep him busy, Conley worked part-time at Bedford Hills Golf Course where he spent many afternoons and evenings enjoying a round of golf.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kerri Anne (Jaime) Guzman and Sarah Adams; mother, Lenora Adams; siblings, Mary (Pat) McGrath, Rose (Kevin) Strominger and Robert (Lori) Adams; grandchildren, Amelia, Ana Sofia and Cruz Guzman; former spouse and mother of his children, Deborah Crawford; companion, Robbin Stokes; 2 nieces; 5 nephews and 7 great-nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his father, Jess in 2010 and his beloved canine companion, Harlee in 2010.
The family will receive guests Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
