Cologera "Lillie" Conti, 96, went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2013. She was born on July 1, 1916 to the late Rosalia and Angelo Arcadapane in Jamestown, New York.
Lillie married Charlie Conti on August 29, 1937. They moved to Toledo and opened a bar and restaurant, "Club Conti." Lillie did all of the authentic Italian cooking while Charlie tended the bar. Later on, she worked as a Seamstress at Micki Lane's. Lillie made many wedding and bridesmaids dresses for family members over the years. She always had the family over every week for Sunday Dinner.
In addition to her parents, Lillie was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Dennis. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 75 years, Charlie; sons, Donald (Emma) and Dennis (Kathryn); 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). A Scripture Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4555 North Haven, Toledo.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their care and compassion.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
