Colleen Marie Rusch

Colleen Marie Rusch, 70, of Toledo, passed away after a long illness on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on August 25, 1944 to Robert T. and Mildred A. (Herbster) Sullivan in Toledo. Colleen was an accomplished artist, animal lover, zoo-ed, tutor, leadership instructor, customer service rep, longtime caregiver, Charter Member of Frank Murphy's Funhouse Writers Group and devoted homemaker. She married the love of her life, Douglas C. Rusch on August 27, 1964, and together they shared many wonderful memories.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Lynn Wilkerson and brother, Michael G. Sullivan. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Douglas; sister in law, Shirley Marie Parrish; brother in law, Julian (Betty) Rouch; nieces, Nora, Erin, Kathy, Ellen, Rhonda and Marilyn; nephews, Brian, Michael, Kevin and Sid; many great nieces; great nephews and a great-great-niece.

Colleen's family wishes to thank the people at Heartland Holly Glen and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their diligent care and love they provided.

Friends are invited to join the family for Graveside Services on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Please meet at the front gates of the Cemetery at 11:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Colleen's memory to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
