Clyde R. Smith

Clyde R. Smith, age 78, of Toledo, passed away November 21, 2018. Clyde was born June 17, 1940 in Davenport, Iowa to Noel and Lucy (Gross) Smith. He was employed with the Roadway Express (YRT) for more than 32 years. Clyde was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church. Clyde enjoyed dancing, walking, spending time with his family and friends and working in his yard. He was a very social person who enjoyed joking with others and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Takacs: grandchildren, Zachary Frontine, Rachele Takacs, Kelsey Takacs; brothers, Allen Smith, Tom Smith and Noel (Deanna) Smith, Jr.

He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Ronny, Bill, Dale Smith and Mary Horn.

The family will receive guests Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:00 am. at the funeral home.
