Clyde K. Wilbur, age 90, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 20, 2009 in his home. He was born March 21, 1919 to Clyde and Helen (Kenroyal) Wilber in Adrian, Michigan. Clyde was a truck driver for 17 years with Anderson Motor Freight before retiring. He was a member of Local Teamsters 20. Clyde often enjoyed doing arts and crafts with his wife. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Randy Wilbur, daughter, Carol Sattler and half-brother, Kenneth Wilber. Clyde is survived by his loving wife of almost 15 years, Gloria Wilbur; son, Doug (Debbie) Wilbur; step-daughters, Chris (Thomas "Sam") Cowell and Linda (Lee) Dutton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Mae Hemrich; half-sister, Gloria Smith; and step-brother, Leland Hall.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
