Clyde S. Akers age 97, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025, in his home. He was born in Morehead, Kentucky on January 27, 1928, to George and Lilly (Hamm) Akers.
Clyde was employed at Jeep for 36 years until his retirement. He enjoyed serving the Lord, reading the bible, music, golf and spending time with his family.
Surviving is his loving wife of 56 years, Deanna; daughter, Cheryl (Vernon) Moseley; grandchildren, Matthew Moseley and Marissa (Timothy) Mahabir and great-grandchildren, Nadia and Ezra. Also surviving are his siblings, Betty Raburn, Grace Large, Lodeana Adams, Faye Hartman and Shirley Kerns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Oma Jewell Akers, Lorena Bolton, Charles, Ben and Clayton Akers, Kathleen Faltz and Katherene Kelly.
A Memorial service to celebrate Clyde’s life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Deerfield Church of God, 386 Kingsbury Rd., in Deerfield, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
