Clifford A. Palmer, age 85, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2007 in The Toledo Hospital. He was born July 21, 1921 to Clifford and Hazel (Dann) Palmer in Elyria, Ohio. Cliff was employed with the Standard Oil Company for many years and retired from B.P. in 1973. He was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the Eagles #197, State Highway Patrol Auxillary, Conn-Weissenberger American Legion and the Merickle-Farley Trout Club. Cliff enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Cliff was preceded in death by one brother and 3 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jean Palmer; son, Gerald K. Palmer; daughters, Kathleen P. Ross and Donna M. (John) Harbert; grandchildren, Scott; Todd; Kristal; Chris; Matthew and Andrew and many dear friends.
The family will receive guests Tuesday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Military Services beginning at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Fr. Dave Beck. Entombment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
