Clifford D. Smith
Clifford D. Smith, age 72, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2007 in St. Vincent Mercy Hospital. He was born June 1, 1934 to Richard and Naomi (Stephens) Smith in Curtice, Ohio. Cliff was a Fireman 25 years for the City of Toledo and retired as a Captain in 1986.
He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Arlene (Koch) Smith; daughters, Janice (Michael) Cook and Denise (David) Witkowski; grandchildren, Christopher and Brian Cook; Daniel and Amanda Witkowski; stepchildren, Ronald; Dale (Julie) and Dean Koch and Monica; Cindy (Rick) Bauman; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and sister, Ora Lou "Susie" Taylor. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Carolyn and stepson, Raymond Koch.
The family will receive guests Friday from 3-8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be private. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
Cliff's family would like to thank the Chaplains and Staff of St. Vincent Mercy Hospital for the loving care and support they provided to Cliff and his family.
