Cleo Laverne Krabill

December 4, 1936 — October 2, 2022

Cleo Laverne Krabill, age 85, born in Toledo Ohio to parents, Walter and Charlotte Geldien, on December 04, 1936, peacefully passed away at the Northwest Ohio Hospice in Perrysburg, on October 2, 2022. She was surrounded by her family, as she was called home to our Lord, after many years of battling both Stage 4 Renal Failure, and Congestive Heart Failure.

Cleo will be remembered as not only a brilliant scholar, graduating from Davis Business College, but also the most gentle, kind hearted , caring, compassionate and loving woman that anyone could know. Although her sarcastic humor was lost on some, those in her inner circle knew that her little wink and twinkle of her blue eyes, along with her smile, that she was only joking.

Known as "mom" by many neighborhood children, it wasn't unusual to see one of them talking to her about problems at school or life in general. They could always expect for her words of wisdom to guide them or sometimes even to be sat at the dinner table where an extra place had been set, or find that a pillow and blanket had been placed on the sofa, should they feel the need to sleep.

She enjoyed the simpler things in life, listening to her favorite, Elvis Presley, going on Sunday drives to really nowhere, and having a picnic in the dead of winter. She loved to curl up with her favorite book, doing crosswords or going through her many recipes to decide what to make for a special dinner or dessert, or just watching out the window for her beloved humming birds to stop by and drink from the feeder. Family and friends could almost always expect that the crocheting project she was working on was meant for them, whether it is an afghan or a complete baby outfit, she always had to keep her hands busy. Children were not the only ones that enjoyed coloring books and crayons, a lot of fond memories include her sitting at the kitchen table with one child or many, deciding which pictures to color. Christmas time always included the endless dozens of different varieties of cookies, some passed down through the generations, to be shared with friends and family.

Cleo leaves behind her beloved husband, Harry J. Krabill Jr, who, at the tender age of 19, stole her heart at a King Kong movie, where they shared a first kiss. This led to 67 years of marriage and 4 children, April L. ( Krabill) Stoner, David J. Krabill, Kevin L. Krabill and Roger A. Krabill,: 8 grandchildren , Tamara, Angela, Jonathan, Shianne, David Jr., Esperanza, Robert & Kyle and 9 great grandchildren: Matthew, Alexis, Kai, Logan, Sadie, Corban, Brandon, Leo and Samuel. Also left behind are her 2 surviving brothers, Glenn & Donald Geldien, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. She will join her parents and brother, Gerald in heaven.

Cleo was most beloved by all and will be missed dearly.
