Clement F. Suski

November 21, 1933 — October 30, 2022

Clement Francis Suski, age 88, passed away on October 30, 2022 at UPMC Passavant Hospital. He was born on November 21, 1933 in Toledo, OH to Albert and Anna (Biela) Suski. Clement grew up and raised a family of his own in Toledo, before starting the next chapter of his life in Pittsburgh, PA, where he lived for 20 years.

Aside from his family, Clement's greatest devotion was in serving his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. A proud veteran, he often pointed out that it was during his four years at sea where he experienced the world and learned many important life lessons.

Clement's natural talent for entrepreneurship and his passion for design led to frequent travels around the Ohio and Kentucky area where he designed the interior of numerous retail stores. He was a hard-working and diligent business man and was always energized by the work he did. A couple of his store designs can still be found in the Toledo area.

Known by his friends and family as Clem, he will always be remembered as a pal to many! If he wasn't enjoying a round of golf, he could be found making new friends at the Elks Lodge or entertaining loved ones at his cottage on Round Lake. Clem had a sharp wit about him and an uncanny ability to make light of any situation, especially through jokes and humor. He always had a story to tell and was never afraid to speak his mind. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Clem looked forward to holiday gatherings with his family. He was a humble Catholic and proud of his Polish heritage.

In addition to his parents, Clement was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna (Sugg) Suski, and his siblings Florence Nowicki, Anthony Suski and Genevieve Liberkowski.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Elaine (Brown) Suski, his daughters, Janice (Roland) Smith and Sharon (Dennis) Blakely; his grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah) Sherwin, Nicholas Smith, Dustin Mitten, Jenna (Michael) Musilli and Alisha Mitten; as well as his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Vivienne, Maxwell, Leo and Marco. He is also survived by his stepchildren, E. Charlene (Matthew) Plautz, Christine (John) Jennings, Cindy (Mike) Rohm; his step grandchildren, Chelsea, Matthew (Lauren), Michael, Kevin (Melissa), Derek (Amanda), Elizabeth and step great grandson, Easton.

A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, November 14, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 West Broadway Street, Maumee, OH 43537. The family will receive guests beginning at 9:00am followed by Mass at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
