Clayton A. Anderson

Clayton A. Anderson, age 79, of Sylvania, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Regency Hospital of Toledo, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 8, 1935 to Marion and Linda (Powers) Anderson in Kentucky. Clayton worked at GM Powertrain for 33 years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid car enthusiast. Clayton will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his grandsons, who he had a very special relationship with.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Nelda Croley and Helena Perkins. Clayton is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Alice Anderson; children, Lee (Kathy) Anderson, Faye (Don) Hall, Darrell (Dianne) Anderson and Jerry Anderson; grandsons, Mark and Jon Anderson; and sisters, Juanita Koch, Ramona Bolton and Catherine Hamblin.

The family will receive guests on Sunday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
