Clarence Walton

Clarence E. Walton, age 82, of Toledo, passed away October 31, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo. Clarence was born December 3, 1931 in Toledo to Gilbert and Sarah (Pate) Walton. He was employed with General Mills for more than 32 years. Clarence was a member of Ashland Avenue Baptist Church and belonged to the Eagles on Jackman Road in Toledo, Ohio. In his free time Toots enjoyed gardening, fishing, collecting Hot Wheels, Barbies, and antiques.

In addition to his parents, Clarence was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara (Stewart) Walton, son Jimmy Walton and granddaughter Katie Walton. He is survived by his daughter Linda K. (Chuck) Platt, son Robert V. (Bobby) Walton, sister Margaret Vickory, brother William "Sonny" Walton, grandchildren Sarah Wetter, Nicholas Platt, Sadie (Nick) Gentry, Samantha Walton, Andrew Walton and Alex Walton, 5 great-grandchildren, extended family members Wayne (Lynn) Kruse, Tracie Lusher, Jeff Hanna and family.

The family will receive guests Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 1:00 pm. in the funeral home followed by interment at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
