Clarence R. Theriac

Clarence R. Theriac, age 72, resident of Maumee, Ohio, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Ebeid Hospice, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born on December 3, 1948, in Kokomo, Indiana, to John Edward and Margaret (Poley) Theriac.

Clarence attended Libbey High School and went onto work for General Motors. He was a member of the Eagles and the Moose Lodge. Clarence enjoyed watching NASCAR, bowling, skeet shooting, but most of all, camping. He and his family would go on numerous camping trips throughout the years where lots of activities were done, stories were told, and lots of laughter. A lover for animals, he loved his cats; he had many throughout the years. Clarence liked to go to Hooters for their wings. He was an Ohio State Buckeye fan and a Detroit Red Wings fan. Christmas being his favorite holiday, he would buy matching shirts for his family to wear. He would also find a new recipe of cookies to make.

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his wife, Ina "Pat" (McNally) Theriac, whom he married on November 5, 1982; two daughters, Deanna (Robbie) Price and Heather (Josh Davis) Barringer; two step-daughters, Tracy Penn, and Sherry (Michael) Flahiff; six grandchildren, Thomas (Starr) McGovern, Nicole (Randy) Ross, Alyssa, Bailey, Caitlyn Price, and Adeline Flahiff; six great grandchildren, Cameron, Blaine, Brayden, Eva, Ayden, Jasper; his mother, Margaret Theriac; six siblings, Sharon (Joseph) Schomburg, James (Linda) Theriac, Kathy (Larry) Glesmer, Theresa Kelly, Debbie (Ray) Bunting, and Diane (Nathan) McCray; and a lifelong friend and mother of his children, Marjorie Hasenbalg.

Clarence was preceded in death by his father, John Edward Theriac.

Family and friends may gather at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio, 43623, on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at 11:00am with Pastor Roy Southerland officiating. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
