Clarence A. Brooks
Clarence A. Brooks, age 94, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Arbors of Sylvania Nursing Home. He was born November 28, 1913 to Alfred and Ellen (Walker) Brooks in Toledo. Clarence was employed with Autolite for 25 years and then went on to work with the Toledo Board of Education for 25 years, retiring in 1982. He was a past state President of Woodman of the World and a 60 year member of the Masons.
In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 69 years, Margueritte M. (Lamprecht) Brooks; son, Clarence "Sonny" (Mary) Brooks of Temperance, MI; 7 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren and many dear friends.
The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
