Clarabell Grodi

Clarabell Grodi, age 87, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Friday, November 22, 2013 at Point Place Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on July 8, 1926 to Charles and Henrietta (Harris) Kirkman in Samaria, Michigan. Clarabell was a longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary Erie VFW Post 3925, Erie, Michigan. She loved flowers and to play cards, especially Euchre. Clarabell enjoyed nothing more than the time spent with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Alan Grodi; grandchildren, Gabriel (Ian) Lachapelle, Taylor Grodi, Ryan Grodi, Adrianna (Travis) Stevens, Blake Grodi, and Chad (Melissa) Grodi; great-grandchildren, Eli, Baylee, Mason and Ricky; brother, Chester (Joyce) Kirkman; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Dennis and Rick Grodi; 5 sisters; and 4 brothers.

Graveside Services will take place Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park, 13200 S. Dixie Highway, LaSalle, Michigan 48145, meeting at the front gates. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Toledo, assisted the family with professional services.
