Clara Young

Clara Young, age 90, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2014. She was born on May 26, 1924 to the late Alverta (English) and Homer Stock in Toledo, Ohio.

Clara graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1943. She was a State Award Winning Jigsaw Puzzle Assembler. Clara enjoyed counted cross-stitch and never missed a day of Bingo!

In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her brother, Neil Stock. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Karen Gurtzweiler and Patricia (Tim) Green; grandchildren, Cheryl (David) Baum, Roger (Mallary) Green, Elizabeth Green and Mary Green; great-grandchildren, Andrea and Matthew Green; sister-in-law, Joyce Stock; many nieces and nephews and extended family , Sam and Marie Samson, Chuck Dunn and our "Family" at Otterbein House 4.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Ft. Meigs Union Cemetery.

Thank you to the staff at Otterbein for their care of Mom for so many years and to Hospice for these past few months.
