Christopher "Chris" Joseph Voss, age 69, resident of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away at home, surrounded by his loved ones, on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. He was born on November 24, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Robert and Anna (Bentz) Voss.
Chris graduated from St. John's High School. He had worked at Ford Motor Company, in the IT department. He later retired in September of 2018, after working for over 25 years, and was also a member of the Knights of Pythias. Chris was an active member of Blessed Sacrament for over 24 years. A proud American, he served in the United States Coast Guard, on the Unimak. Chris liked bowling, golfing, taking daily walks with his dog, biking, and cruising around in his 2019 Ford Mustang, which was a retirement present to himself. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and Ohio State football. Chris was one who always had a camera in hand; he liked taking pictures of nature. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, but most importantly, his grandchildren and great granddaughter. His smile, laugh, and humor will forever be missed by all who knew him.
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving wife, Jennifer (Weaver) Voss, whom he married on September 12, 1998; children, Sarah (Jason) Bach, Carol Voss, and Chris Voss; step-son, Ray (Amanda) Voss; father-in-law, George Young; eleven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; five siblings, Jane Voss (Hoyle), Michael (Mary) Voss, Tony Voss, Carleen Voss, and Jerome (Sybil) Voss; brother-in-law, Paul Hickman; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog who misses him dearly, Vader.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death and greeted in Heaven by his first wife, Carol Ann Voss; sisters, Donna Anderson and Ruth Hickman; and brothers, Raymond Voss and Kevin Voss.
