Christopher Steven Shifflett

Christopher S. Shifflett, age 25, of Toledo, passed away Monday, October 17th, 2011 at the UTMC. He was born November 13th, 1985 to Mark S. and Angela K. (Surine) Shifflett in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Chris was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Notre Dame Football teams. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his nieces and nephews. Chris was a friend to everyone he had the privilege of meeting. He loved life and enjoyed each day as it came.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rebecca J. Shifflett and uncles, Dan and Dave Surine and Jeff Shifflett. He is survived by his mother, Angela (Joe) Shifflett; father, Mark (Linda) Shifflett; sister, Jennifer (Mike) Littin; brother, Jeffery (Stephanie) Shifflett; stepsisters, Amanda Wendt and Katelyn Kramer; stepbrother, Kyle Kramer; nieces and nephews "His Babies", Ava, Noah and Amelia Littin and Jacob Shifflett; loving girlfriend, Megan Marquis; grandparents, Richard (Betty) Surine and Sharon Surine and many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive guests Friday, October 21st, from 2-8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900)with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Services will begin Saturday, October 22nd, at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:a.m. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd. Interment will follow at Ft. Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg, Ohio.
