Christopher Glover-Burr Sr.

Christopher Larell Glover-Burr Sr., 38, of Toledo, Ohio, gained his wings in the comfort of his home on February 3, 2025, surrounded by his memories and the love he cultivated throughout his life. He will be remembered as a devoted father, son, brother, and friend and left a lasting impact on the lives of those around him. 

Chris was a graduate of Jesup W. Scott High School, class of 2005. While at Scott High School, he showed his competitive spirit and dedication through his active participation in both wrestling and football. A few years after high school, he joined the Semi-Pro League, playing for the Knights. His work ethic and leadership skills earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and peers alike.

Those who knew Chris admired him for his hardworking nature and his ability to wear many hats; he was someone who understood the importance of perseverance and dedication. He gladly took on management responsibilities, stepping up to be a leader in the workplace. However, amidst all his responsibilities, his greatest love was reserved for his family. Chris cherished his family—pouring his heart into being a present and caring father. His love for his family was palpable, and it was in their laughter and joy that he found his greatest fulfillment.

As a family man, Chris carved out time to connect with those he loved best. Chris was a HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan, often reminding everyone he came into contact with. His infectious spirit and joyful demeanor brightened the lives of his friends and family.

Chris is survived by his beloved parents, Robert and Sabrina; his cherished children: Christopher Jr., Sa’Narri, Cedreon, Christian, Cameren, and Casey; and his siblings: Kamaria, Tewanda, Tyasia, and Jason. The bond of family was pivotal in Chris’s life, and he leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure through them.

He was predeceased by his son, Braelyn, and his grandmothers, Shirley A. Glover and Lillie R. Burr. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved them.

A visitation in honor of Christopher Larell Glover-Burr Sr. will take place on February 13, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Toledo, located at 4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH 43623.

As we gather to celebrate Chris’s life, let us remember the warmth, joy, and strength he instilled in each of us. Though he has gained his wings, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us every day.
