Christine Lewis, age 65, of Monclova, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on May 16, 2018. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 30, 1953 to William and Noreen Gaines.
She attended Start High School, Class of 1971. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years where she loved working with pediatric patients.
Chris loved vacationing in the Florida Keys and catching lobster. Fishing, boating and flower gardening were some of her many passions. She cherished the time with her daughter, nieces, nephews and great nephews as they were growing up; she had a great love for children. Among her love for children she also had a great love for her cats "too many to name". Chris was a flower child of the 60's with many memories and lots of trips. She drank her Red Rose Tea daily and collected the little figurines.
She was preceded in death by her Sister; Sharon Harbson and Nephew; Sean Harbson. She is survived by her Daughter; Dawn Thomas, Loyal Friend; Don Thomas, Brothers; Mike (Elaine) Gaines, Marty (Nancy) Gaines, Uncle; Fred (Joan) Klippel, many nieces, nephews, friends, and her cat Tripper.
The family will receive guests at Newcomer-SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900) on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd. on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
