Chris A. Stuchel, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025, in her hometown of Toledo, Ohio. Born on October 3, 1960, Chris was known for her infectious smile and warm presence that could illuminate any room. Throughout her life, she embraced the joy of gardening and cherished spending time in the sun, pursuits that reflected her vibrant spirit.
Chris firmly believed in the value of close relationships and held a small circle of friends dear to her heart. Although she did not have many friends, the bonds she formed were meaningful, and she cherished each individual in her unique way. Her kind-heartedness and thoughtful nature left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her.
Chris takes with her many treasured memories, but is survived by her loving family, including her sons, Justin Stuchel and Jeremy Stuchel, who will carry her legacy forward. She was a proud grandmother to Brandon Stuchel, Andrea Ing, Mariah Stuchel, Julian Stuchel, and Liam Stuchel; each of her grandchildren brought immense joy to her life, and she delighted in being an active part of their journeys.
Chris was also a devoted sister, leaving behind her siblings Cheryl Papuchike, Cathy Dudley and her husband Ken, Lori Neubert and her wife Terri Chretien, Dennis Neubert, and Keith Neubert and his wife Kristen. The bonds shared with her family were among her proudest accomplishments, and her love for them will continue to be felt in the lives they lead. Additionally, she leaves behind her loyal dogs, Marley and Bailey, whose companionship brought her comfort.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Neubert and Carol Neubert, as well as her beloved dogs Shelby and Pooky Bear.
A visitation in honor of Chris A. Stuchel will be held on April 6, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service beginning at 2:00 PM. Both services will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Toledo, located at 4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH 43623.
Chris A. Stuchel will be remembered not only for her love of family and nature but also for the moments of joy and kindness she shared. Though she has left this world, the impact of her life and the love she spread will resonate in the hearts of her family and friends for years to come.
