Chester Reynolds, age 82, of North Toledo, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007 in the Toledo Hospital. He was born June 10, 1925 to Andrew and Esther (Peace) Reynolds in Gatliff, Kentucky. Born and raised in Kentucky, Chester began working in the coal mines at an early age and continued in the mines until he moved to Toledo in 1958 with his wife and family. While making his home in the area, Chester began various jobs with some local factories and retired from Acklin Stamping after many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed repairing small engines for his friends and neighbors. Chester also enjoyed the outdoors and spent some time deer hunting with his sons. Most importantly he was a loving and caring man and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Until his health began failing, Chester attended Grace Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Juanita (Potter) Reynolds. He is survived by his loving family, including his children, Aundria (Denny) Otersen; Diana (Bruce) Romer; Edward Vernon (Ruby) Reynolds and Chester Jr. (Tina) Reynolds; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Rhoda Rose of KY and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests Monday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Doug Rumschlag. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
