Charlotte Lorraine Chapman

Charlotte Lorraine Chapman, age 88, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010 in Georgetown, Texas at Park Place Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 29, 1922 to Frederick and Ruth (Schram) Yabs in Bay City, Michigan. For over 45 years Charlotte had deep faith in the Pentecostal Church. She spent many years at New Life Apostolic Church in Detroit, Michigan and most recently was a member of First Apostolic Church in Toledo for 18 years. In her spare time, Charlotte enjoyed reading and painting ceramics, which her family will cherish the Christmas villages she painted for them.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Larry) Habdas; sons, Sydney (Sharon) Chapman and Allen (Carolyn) Chapman; grandchildren, Gabrielle Riihimaa and Aaron Chapman and brother, Donald Yabs. Preceding Charlotte in death were her parents; son and daughter-in-law, Larry (Peggy) Chapman and sister, Dorothy Tater.

The family will receive guests Friday from 4-9:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. J. Mark Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
