Charlotte E. Cox

Charlotte E. Cox, age 91, of Amherst, formerly of Toledo, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Amherst Grace Hospital. She was born June 22, 1917 to Oliver and Dora Myerhoff in Evansville, Indiana. Charlotte was a member of Lewis Avenue Baptist Church for 55 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Oliver Myerhoff, sister, Jeanette Timms and twin great-grandchildren, Luke and Lauren Cox. Charlotte is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Robert Cox; daughters, Robin (John) Ritz and Michele (Thomas) Ritz; son, R. Michael (Brenda) Cox; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests on Friday from 2 – 5:00 and 6 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Lewis Avenue Baptist Church, 6320 Lewis Ave., Temp., MI, with visitation one hour prior in the church. Officiating will be Pastor R. Michael Cox and Pastor Les Hobbins. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
