Charles Williams

Charles J. "Chuck" Williams, age 78 of Sylvania passed away on January 11, 2012 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. He was born April 24, 1933 to Wallace and Maymie (Puckett) Williams in Leslie, West Virginia. Chuck proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Throughout his life he worked for various cement companies in Toledo, some of those companies included Medusa Cement Co. for over 15 years, S.M.E. for over 10 years where he was a foreman and Essroc, where he worked as a crane and scale operator. Chuck was a member of the American Legion Post #468 in Sylvania and in his spare time he enjoyed watching Nascar races.

He is survived by his children, Shirley (Hap) Warner, Danny (Vella) Williams, Charlene (Randy) Samko, Nancy Lee, Chuck (Dorsha) Williams and Dave Williams; many loving grandchildren; 3 sisters; 3 brothers and the family of special friend, Doris Perryman.

The family will receive guests on Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
